Cultural Competency and the LGBTQIA Community: Best Practices for Providing Care

Abstract Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) refers to a diverse community from gender, sexual, cultural perspective. While these identities tend be grouped under the broad heading of LGBT, diversity differences among between groups couldn't more obvious or evident. This brief review literature provides important information that will help nurses other health care providers offer culturally competent this population despite gender sexual identity.
